Warranty  Policy
All items are warranted to be free from defects in workmanship and materials. Products altered in any way are non-refund-able. RouterBits.com, Inc. assumes no liability for damage or injury caused by misuse. Loss or damages is limited to full refund of purchase price only. Items must be returned in manufacturer's original packaging, when applicable. Reasons for return include: ordered wrong item, not satisfied (explanation required), damaged in shipping, arrived to late, defective (explanation required) or, shipping error. Exchange or refund may be requested. Refund will be by check or credited to charge card at the discretion of RouterBits.com, Inc.

Woodworking Safety
  • Wear a protective face shield or safety glasses to prevent eye and face injury.
  • Wear ear plugs or ear muffs to protect your hearing. 
  • Use a respirator or dust mask to give protection from dust particles. Wood dust may remain in the air for hours after using power tools. 
  • Always read and follow router operator's manual instructions. 
  • Make sure that router rpm's and the bit selected match. 
  • Dress properly. Wear short sleeves, no loose fitting clothes, proper footwear and no jewelry. Tie back long hair. 
  • Always be sure the router is unplugged before replacing bits and that the switch is off before connecting the router. 
  • Be sure the router bit has completely stopped spinning before sitting the router down. 
  • Be sure bits, clamps and attachments are secure before starting up. 
  • Keep children, pets and visitors at a safe distance. 
  • Be especially cautious when working with small pieces. 
  • Keep hands and fingers away from revolving bits and cutters. 
  • Do not operate routers in moist or wet areas. 
  • Always grip tool tightly and be prepared at start-up to resist the motor torque.
  • When using a router table, make sure on/off switch is easily accessible. 
  • Learn the sound of your router and shut it off at any unfamiliar sounds or irregularities.
  • Never start the router with the bit in contact with the material. 
  • Always feed in the proper direction, against the direction of bit rotation. 
  • Maintain equipment. Replace worn parts, discard worn-out bits and check router periodically. Clean with appropriate solvents or pitch remover and protect surfaces with a coating of light machine oil. 
  • Don't operate a tool if you are tired or under the influence of medication, drugs, alcohol or while smoking. 
  • Check wood for nails, screws or loose knots before routing. 
  • Keep your mind on your work, avoid distractions, work at a comfortable pace and stop before you get tired.

How to Order from the Web
Step 1- Select the item you wish to order from our web pages by clicking on the "Add To Order" button next to the item. This will take you to our shopping cart, which lists the item(s) you have selected, your shipping charges, etc. At that time you may go back and continue shopping, change the quantity of the items you have selected, empty your cart, or go to "Check Out". 
Step 2- When you go to , "Check Out" you will enter our secure server and all transmissions are then encrypted. This means that your personal information is protected. After you have filled in all the information, click on the "Continue" button to continue with your order. 
Step 3- "Continue" will take you to the next screen of the order process. Here you will see all the items you selected, shipping charges, tax charges (if they apply) and your total. After you check it over enter your payment information and click on the "Submit" button. 
Step 4- After you submit your order you will be taken to your confirmation page. Print this page for your reference. You will received an email message within a few minutes confirming your order. We then prepare your order to be shipped. Most orders are shipped within 24 hours.

Our standard shipping, by Standard Ground takes an average of 3 to 5 days in the continual US.  International shipping varies depending on the designation.  Average time is 7 to 10 days.  We usually ship within 24 hours after receiving an order.

Mr. Whiteside began their Machine Company in the basement of his home. Today their manufacturing facility in Claremont, NC is 42,000 square feet. Forest City Tool is located in the vicinity of Hickory, North Carolina in the small incorporated area of Longview. Forest City Tool began in Rockford, Illinois by the Erickson family in 1890. In 1957, the company moved operations to Hickory, North Carolina. The Robert Bosch Corporation owned the company until April, 2003 when the plant was purchased by William and Bobbie Whiteside (owners and founders of Whiteside Machine).
